Melissa Boshans, M.A.Ed, DT is a developmental specialist who holds a Master’s of Education in Early Childhood Instructional Leadership with a state endorsement for Special Education from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She began working in the field of early childhood development in 2003. Much of her professional career has been spent working in the cooperative nursery school setting which has taught her the importance and valued of strong partnerships with parents.
Melissa’s formal training and professional experience has included sensory processing supports, understanding individual learning profiles, and extensive work with children in inclusive classroom settings. She loves working closely with parents to help them unlock the potential in their children and to support their family goals. Melissa has been a presenter for the National Association for Young Children and has also published work regarding the relationship between attachment, play and early learning. She gained her Developmental Therapy credential in 2012. Melissa has been collaborating with Amy Zier and others on staff for many years and she is excited to be part of this team of dedicated and gifted practitioners.
